What is food nostalgia and how to overcome it! Get cooking!

As the weather changes, it required me to go back to my culinary roots with an authentic spring-summer-y beverage which was my go-to in Delhi when the weather was hot and air conditioning was not saving me from the heat. Lassi. Made of yogurt and can be sweet or savoury.

I chose to make it with the favourite summer fruit in for us is Delhi - mangoes.

2 glasses require two generous cups of chopped fresh mangoes (I used Alfonso) or canned mango pulp, 2 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 sugar & a generous pinch ground green cardamom. Blend together in a blender and see consistency. Add little water or milk to dilute the lassi. Garnish with chopped almonds and cardommon powder. Serve!
